With backgrounds in the fast-paced, high-powered marketing field plus two husbands, six young children and two dogs between them, Kathleen and Leslie know a thing or two about the craziness of life. As busy working moms, they truly understand how an organized space can help relieve some of your mental clutter.

How did they get here?

These friends and neighbors in Southport Corridor share a mutual passion for home organization and decided to grow their interests into a business, integrating Kathleen’s experience in interior design as well. With an incredible eye for detail and a passion for designing personalized solutions, Kathleen and Leslie created Real Organized Co to help families maximize their spaces to suit their ever-changing needs.

KATHLEEN O’SHAUGHNESSY

Kathleen is originally from Cleveland, but has lived in Chicago for almost 20 years. She’s worked in brand strategy and marketing for some of your favorite hair and skin care brands since college. Running a busy household full of kids, dogs, and a husband (why are they the hardest sometimes?!), Kathleen knows that a beautifully designed space, where every item has a home, frees up your time to do the things you actually love.

As an interior designer, her thoughtful expertise can help elevate your space to suit your specific needs. Having visited over 35 countries, Kathleen integrates her appreciation for different cultures and lifestyles into each project she takes on.

LESLIE MYERS

Leslie and her husband Chris are parents to Sadie and Hayden, plus their fur baby, Howie. Leslie is a Kansas City native and has been in Chicago for almost 20 years. After a successful career in marketing at one of Chicago's top agencies, Leslie has channeled her Type A personality and experience in a fast-paced work environment into her passion of organizing spaces perfectly and in a creative way.

Managing top CPG brands across the country, her internal team, and highly particular clients (aka her 2 year old), she's learned how to make sh*t happen in an efficient way. Leslie believes that every situation is unique and a beautiful, well organized home is not a luxury but a possibility.
